Video: Touch Pro2 Unboxing and Up Close
Aug 13th
Note: In the video I mis-spoke about the speaker phone indicator light. It does turn green when mute is off and red when mute is on. On my unit this wasn’t showing up. After a hard reset it did work.
This is the first video coming from AllShadow on the Touch Pro2. If you have any questions that you would like answered about it, please do so in the comments and I will answer them in the next video. Enjoy!
Touch Pro2 Coming to T-Mobile USA
Mar 24th
The much coveted HTC Touch Pro2 is coming to T-Mobile USA. ND4SPD got his hands on the T-Mobile Branded ROM for it and diced it up. This is big news since T-Mobile hasn’t flexed it’s Windows Mobile Professional muscles since the Wing. Rumored to be released in May, the specs on this are mighty and promising.
Hardware:
- 528 MHz processor
- Video Out!
- 480 x 800 resolution screen
- 512MB ROM
- 288 MB RAM
- 3G
- GPS, Assisted GPS, QuickGPS, Geotagging
- 3.1MP Camera (yes it does record video, it’s WinMo remember!)
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR
- Slide and tilt QWERTY Keyboard
- it MIGHT have a secondary .3 MP camera for video calls
Software:
- Windows Mobile 6.5
- Custom Branded TouchFLO 3D for T-Mobile
- MyFaves built into TouchFLO 3D
- Telenav GPS included
- Sliding sounds for the keyboard
- Will have Facebook and Contact Card apps
- Support for T-Mobile HotSpot and WAP
- Google Maps, JBlend Java, OZ Im
Waiting to See:
- at this point the ROM doesn’t include UMA support like the new Shadow. It is possible that they MIGHT throw it in later.
Thanks to ND4SPD on the digging and thanks to d474rpr for grabbing the ROM
