How To Use Multiple GPS Programs
I like having many solutions. I use Live and Google Maps when I’m on a trip as each has its own qualities. Microsoft has a utility that you can use to manage the GPS port on your Shadow so you can use several different mapping programs such as Live, Google Maps, GPSVP, Navizon, and Mobium. How to Sync via Bluetooth
Sometimes we are in too much of a hurry (or on calls constantly) to plug our Shadows with a USB cable. This is where Bluetooth sync comes in handy. This How-To is for Windows computers. You will need a Windows Vista or XP computer with Bluetooth. If yours doesn’t have Bluetooth you can always buy a Bluetooth USB dongle on the cheap and install the software yourself (I suggest IOGear as they are a well known company). Listen to All Audio Through Your BT Earpiece
I’m not talking about the Bluetooh Stereo Headphones, I’m talking a normal BT headset. acbPocketSoft has a great utility that will pipe all the system sound to your headset/earpiece. The great thing about this is you can finally listen to some music through that bug in your ear in case your forget your headphones or don’t enjoy the speaker.
The great news is that it just works. Bad news is that it will eat up your battery on both your Shadow and headset, so if you aren’t listening to music turn it off.
Install acbToggleBT and to turn it on just simply select it from Start > acbToggleBT and it will activate with no further annoyances, to turn it off simply select it again. It’s that easy. Be careful with that battery life though
