Opera is constantly releasing updates for Opera Mini and their full sized browser for the desktop so it pays to check in every so often and see what’s new. I got excited about the new changes to Opera 9.5 beta and the Mini version because of several things.
Opera Mini 4.1 now synchronizes your bookmarks and Speed Dial with the desktop browser. In addition to that, you can access these bookmarks from any browser on any computer in case you’re away from home. Very handy. |
To learn more about Opera Mini 4.1…
A few features of the new Opera Mini 4.1 are:

Upgraded servers speed up your viewing
-

-
Auto-complete from history and bookmarks for the address bar
-
Download and Upload files
-
Save pages to your device for viewing later
-
Sync Bookmarks and Speed dial with link.opera.com and your desktop Opera 9.5 beta
-
Landscape Mode
-
Mouse cursor
-
Improved CSS Support
-

-

What I really like about this version of Opera Mini is the synchronizing. Opera 9.5 beta packs a lot of features and works well with Opera Mini. I can be in the middle of some work, need to go somewhere, save a bookmark and continue where I left off from Opera Mini, or vice versa.
As of this writing Opera 9.5 is still in beta and has some bugs. So making a complete switch to Opera can be a bit rocky right now. See below for the Really Long Screenshot.

I gave Opera Mini 4.1, a try. It’s okay for free. I think that I will stay with Pocket IE. What I would like to know is Opera Mobile 8.6 worth $24? Is there anyone using it on the Shadow?

Opera Mini to me is a better product than Opera 8.65. I tried it but it is somewhat out of date. I would wait for the Opera mobile 9.5 release which should be out soon. Opera 8.65 runs slow on my shadow and I don’t even use it anymore. I would spend the $24 on the new release in my opinion.

OPERA MINI SUCKS!!! it freezes constantly just like the shadow. you cant play vids. its horrible, the best browser is the one that the fone came with PIE! i have no problems with it, it doesnt freeze the pages load fast, unlike opera, opera it stops in the middle and fucks up my fone, FUCK OPERA! i can play vids on pie and i can load any page i want! so if your thinking of getting opera DONT waist of time and if you disagree with me i will be more than happy to debate over this!!

I would love to give my praise for Opera Mini 4.1.
It does load faster that the BB browser, but the language problem is a biggie. There is no way to reset it when it goes wrong, oh and it will, but not right away. Then every page is in Dutch.
Go ahead double check your URL nope that’s not it (it says .com not .no)
Uninstall reinstall time again. Yuck! It’s a little hard to sing praises when you have to fake the tune.
