Have a Coupon instead of Cupcake!
May 13th
I’m sad that I haven’t received Cupcake yet. I also figure that many of you might be sad too. There isn’t much love coming until July in the hardware department but what about software?
I figure a 20% off deal in the AllShadow Store might brighten a lot of you up! I know a deal when I see one. So head over to the store and use the coupon code EATACUPCAKE for 20% on all software. It’s good for one month (until June 13th, 2009) so that should put what you want within reach.
Enjoy!
Charge Your Phone Over WiFi!
Apr 1st

The future is here, NOW! Perhaps you’ve read the reports on wireless energy transfer and wondered how long it would be before you could take advantage of this. Well today is the day. Anton Tomov has developed a super secret app that the battery and charger manufacturers don’t want you to know about. You can charge your phone via wifi. Similar to an RFID, this app enables your wifi antenna on your phone to transmogrify the power in the signals into usable power for your phone. You don’t need a charger anymore!
Hurry up and get it before the authorities have it pulled down! Get it here. There is a version for both touchscreen and non-touchscreen (Sorry Android)

T-Mobile Free Flight Offer Extended
Mar 13th
From the horse’s mouth itself, T-Mobile has extended the redemption window for the Free Flight offer we told you about in 2007. So if you were one of the lucky ones to take advantage of the offer you can now schedule flights up to September 30th, 2009. But don’t wait until the last minute, you still need to schedule 30 days in advance with their booking service. You still have the paperwork right? The number is on the paperwork. Today with the way the economy is being rolled around like a giant dung beetle it might be nice to take a little vacation. If you want to do it on the cheap check out Vagabonding by Rolf Potts and to pack light give OneBag.com a quick read.
While we’re on the subject of travel; given the size of today’s memory cards you might want to convert your entire DVD collection to watch during down times on the trip. There are a few methods to do that: the completely free but time consuming way, the completely free but might not work on the G1 way and the Just Get It Done Right way (and a video).
When flight time comes get some up to date flight info right from your smartphone.
Get a G1 for $98
Mar 11th
If you don’t have a current contract you can get a G1 for a little less than $98 through Amazon. For those of you that have been waiting for the price to fall now’s your chance. Of course it’s a subsidized price and might require a 2 year agreement but with everything that is so great about the G1 why wait any longer? Go for it.
If you don’t want a G1 and want to pick up something different you could always try our phone selling affiliate.
Deal: microSDHC 16GB or 8GB
Mar 3rd

I get asked why I never recommend Kingston for memory cards. In short, SanDisk pioneered the SDHC format, I have never had a problem with one yet and I have seen more complaints about Kingston and other brands than SanDisk. With that in mind sometimes SanDisk costs $1 more but that $1 is worth paying versus messing around with shipping a broken card back for a replacement. Now if you want the deal. 16GB SanDisk microSDHC is available for about $45.53. If you don’t have that cash you can always get a still big 8GB for about $12. These prices fluctuate every time someone buys one so get yours today and start cramming all your music and movies into your Shadow or G1 today!
The New Shadow Comes Down in Price
Feb 2nd

We thought this may happen. Less than a week after release, T-Mobile has shaved $50 off the price of the new Shadow to $149.99 after rebates. This applies to both White Mint and Black Burgundy. And in case you’ve been on vacation and/or too busy to come around these parts, we posted up our unboxing part one, unboxing part two, and mini review last week. Check ‘em out! =D
P.S. We’ve got a full review brewing…we’ll be done that shortly.
