HTC HD2 removed from handset upgrade program

That’s right! Due to extremely high demand the HTC HD2 has been removed from the Handset Upgrade Program. So if you want it, and the store has it, you will be paying full retail. For those of you that got in on the action congratulations. For the rest of us, we will have to wait for another shipment to come out.

The buttons are up across the internet, everywhere from Blockbuster On Demand to Barnes and Noble. I’ve been trying to put one in the cart but have been unable to add it. Let us know in the comments if you’re successful!
Update: As of 11:23pm Arizona time, the upgrade system was unavailable. At this point I’m curious as to what my upgrade price will be.
Update: 11:45pm Arizona time, the system is working now.

T-Mobile’s HTC HD2 site is currently undergoing maintenance. With today being the 23rd and the 24th being the supposed release date, it seems only imminent that soon the HD2 will be available to all!

Taking a look at T-Mobile’s product page for the HTC HD2 shows some promising enhancements that are sure to ‘redefine what you think a phone can be.’ A few of the outstanding features of the HD2 is the large multitouch screen (4.3”) and a 1ghz processor. That’s a small netbook…large phone! What’s even better is the promise of the following features.

poeticwun tells us in the Touch Pro2 Forums about this great app called WiFi Remote Access that allows you to explore the content of your Windows Mobile Phone through the browser on your PC over WiFI. It’s super easy to use and can come in real handy in a pinch.
For example, say you’re at a friends house and want to transfer a file to them but you can’t transfer it the usual way. Just fire up WiFi Remote Access up and get to business. Keep reading for a mini-review and some features.

Update: This cab isn’t working with the Official T-Mo WM 6.5 ROM that was recently released.
The Touch Pro2 does come with a FM Radio that for some reason T-Mobile forgot to include in the TMO ROM. You will need your earphones for it to work because they act as the antenna. Right now I’m listening to some cool jazz on 91.5 in Phoenix.
It does support playing music through the high quality speaker. Just tap the button above the ‘1’ preset. You can also switch back forth from stereo to mono, mute, scan, and more. To get your radio going download and install the HTC_FM_Radio.cab on your Touch Pro2. Enjoy!
