HTC HD2 Running Windows Phone 7 Series!
No, this is NOT an early April Fool’s joke. Though MS had a very firm stance that the HTC HD2 would not get the Windows Phone 7 Series upgrade, the ROM has made it’s way from HTC to tom_codon from HTCPedia. He posted screenshots and videos of Windows Phone 7 Series running on the HD2. Will an official ROM actually debut from HTC despite MS’s claims? Only time will tell!

Get this! I haven’t gotten to play with one yet, but from what I’ve been told it’s the ultimate Windows Phone. It runs 6.5 like nothing else. Plus it will be able to run Windows Phone Series 7, thanks to the fine folks at XDA Developers. Also thanks to them it will undoubtedly have Android ported to it from either the Desire or the Nexus, since all three have Snapdragon processors. So you will essentially have a device that can run THREE different operating systems. Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

So if talent chooses to write a loader that would allow 3 different OS’s (menu select or button combo on pwr for Android, W6.5, or Wph7) to reside in phone memory and run apps off 16g card. I wonder if all that would be possible.

I saw this posted over on XDA a few days ago but I’m not convinced this is more substance than gift wrap. Android is being run from SD but it still has major problems that make it impractical to use. As for Windows Phone 7; I’m still waiting for someone to wow me with what makes it better than Windows Mobile 6.5 and its current builds and custom ROMs with CoOkie Home Tab Editor and HTC Sense 2.5. What I’m looking at in regards to Windows Phone 7 is nothing but a big square boxes big enough for my dog’s paws to click on it. Currently Windows Mobile makes only 5 percent of the overall devices; I’m more worried whether Windows Mobile will still exist next week.

I currently have the HD2, and had the TP2& Shadow before that. It’s such a awesome phone, and I can’t wait to get Win Phone 7 Series on it! Truth be told, I’m getting a little tired of regular old Win Mo. Nothing on the market really impresses me, with a slight exception to webOS. Win Phone 7 Series is a style I can resonate with, since I used to have a Zune 30GB Black (loved the doubleshot). I missed my Zune, and soon, I can have that experience again.
To the admin, keep this site running good and dandy. This place has a special place in my heart. I loved my Shadow, and even hooked 2 of my friends up with it. It’s such a cool form factor that works so well! I hope there is a Shadow 3 (though it looks unlikely).
