There is a lot of commotion going around about the Nexus One. Who would have thought all those years ago that a search engine would be releasing their own phone? Chuong tells us it has passed through the FCC with support for T-Mobile’s 3G network and no sign of support for the AT&T bands so there are some doubts as to if this will be a completely open phone. For the full web roundup including many more photos keep reading!

Rumor One: Google is going to subsidize the high end Nexus One for use on T-Mobile USA for $199. The trade off is unknown but might involve the exchange of a soul or having some geo-activity-aware -ads popup from time to time. Even Computer World agrees with me.

Rumor Two: The boot animation was stolen from the Windows Mobile ‘wait’ icon. Hehe.

Rumor Three: Google files for trademark on Nexus One and is soon contacted by lawyers of Philip K Dick’s daughter. Hint: Blade Runner, Nexus-6 Replicants, “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep”

Only 21 seconds long showing part of the boot sequence while it sits on its box.

Just In: Instead of the Application Tray the user will now flip through 3D walls showing apps. This effect is alluded to in some of the pictures above.
