Being able to access network folders on windows mobile will enable you to play video and music from your PC and much more. You will need Schaps Network Plugin. Download the .cab and install it to your Touch Pro2 (or Shadow, Dash, etc). You will need to restart your device and be connected over WiFi to the same network that the folder you want to connect to is on. Keep reading to find out the details.

Once installed you can access the new Network Plugin by going to Start > Settings > Connections > Network Plugin. Go ahead and open it up.

In the image above you can see I have already added a network share, now we will walk through adding a new one. Select the ‘New’ button.

If you know the Remote Path, go ahead and enter it here, otherwise select ‘Map Drive.’

If you have the proper sharing setup on your PC then you should be able to navigate to your folder. Once you select your PC you should be asked to sign in. Depending on how your User Account is setup you might enter the same login info you do when you login to your PC.

Select the folder you wish to map. In this case I have chosen the documents folder for all users on my PC. When you are done selecting your folder click the ‘ok’ top right.

You should now have a successfully mapped Network Folder.

Next open up File Explorer (Start > Programs > File Explorer). You will see a folder labeled ‘Network’, selecting that while connected to your WiFi network will let you navigate through your new Network Share.

Having this ability opens up a lot of options for you while at home, or even if you set this up on your work network. Say you’re in a meeting and the file you need is on your PC, no problem, just access it from your network share. You can also access videos that are on your PC, music, pictures and more. If anyone has any other useful functions that use this please let us know in the comments. Enjoy!
