Dom2684 has put together a concise tutorial in the Android Forums on how to create more ‘internal memory’ for Android Apps on your G1, myTouch and other Android phones. Basically it involves creating an ext2 partition on a memory card that tricks Android into thinking it has more internal memory. Unlike a certain iPhone 3G, our Android devices give a wiser range of capabilities with hacks like this.

Of course if you take your memory card out this newly created ‘internal memory’ will disappear but it does open up a wide range of possibilities including the ability to just copy and paste data to a larger newer memory card when the time comes.
