Update: This cab isn’t working with the Official T-Mo WM 6.5 ROM that was recently released.

Finally some new WM options on the horizon from TMobile.
Early reviews when HTC announced the device were rather lukewarm towards the gigantic and thick Touch Pro 2. Apparently the Diamond-2 with it’s brushed metal casing was a bit more drool-inducing. Neither are considered substantial steps forward product-evolution-wise.
With luck they’ll offer both — I don’t think the Pro2 will have the mass appeal of the Diamond2. Either will be a great option though…

Yes it will. It will be able to do that and more. It has Windows Mobile Professional while the Shadow has Standard eddition.
All I have to say is it better include UMA, Hotspot calling, and it better come out soon!

Stefan, I think the Wing was the first phone with Windows Mobile 6, so the trend might continue with this phone.
And I’m very glad I didn’t use my upgrade!…although I won’t be eligible for full upgrade til like September
This will be my next phone unless the Dash replacement wins me over.
But depending on what is in Cupcake when/if it comes out, I’ll probably be sticking with my G1. This phone has been past awesome, but I miss Microsoft Office and playing Nintendo.

Yes I can’t wait for this to drop. I miss WinMo and this will blow away most other WinMo PPCs. Tmo dropped the ball on the the first Touch Pro. I am going to keep my G1 though. Android is too good an OS to just let go. Only thing I am worried about is the price though b/c hte G1 was my upgrade. I’ll just get my wife to call though and argue. She got T-Mo to sell her a BB 8900 for 109 for no good reason…

For those that dont know, the touch pro 2 will come pre installed with opera mobile 9.5. if you dont know what that is, head on over to http://www.opera.com for full specs on the product. It is utterly sick. This mobile browser is flash ready. And not the crappy flash that they displayed with the G1 demonstration. No, this browsers flash compares in quality to skyfire’s browser with possibly even greater clarity. After reading about the browser i am COMPLETELY sold to this phone. My G1 is getting sold and im preparing for the hefty price that from what ive seen, makes it well worth it.

Tmobile denies this phone…lol! They are still charging 300 hundred for the wing..no contract is 449.99.(its ugly blue casing is gross) This phone will probably be the same price.. To be honest, tmo should be ashamed……..I saw Sprints upgrade for the moogle. Which is the step brother of the wing… OMGGG!!!!! I wanted to make love to that phone.. The touch is sexy… and I have little fat fingers and I typed without the stupid stick. Oh the stupid stick is magnetic..Wow! Love the crap outta the Sprint.T.v, which verzion also has. I wanna watch t.v on the bus ride home. Come on tmobile… Sprint was just a long distance carrier and now they can carry t.v.

Well this is probably the most anticipated Windows Mobile phone to come out this year besides the Toshiba that has the snapdragon processor.
This is definetly going to be my next phone. The only thing is that if i get this phone ima stick with t-mobile but if it’s nerfed compared to the other phones coming out for sprint and AT&T im not going to upgrade and ima go with them.

A lot of people are commenting about it large size. Guys, look at the specs, its actually smaller lengthwise and breadthwise than iphone. but its thicker by 5mm and heavier by around 40gms. I am ready to compromise that for power and looks. considering my last phone has been HTC Universal(which I bought within a week after its release), this is a smaller and lighter device for me. Cant wait…
