Upcoming T-Mobile Smartphones

Nothing in this post is set in stone. With that said, we’d like to introduce three possible upcoming T-Mobile Smartphones. In this batch we have One Android based device and Two Windows Mobiles. First up is the one that gets most people excited and that is the possible G2, or HTC Magic. Yes it has Vodaphone written across it but enough people in the right places have mentioned it and T-Mobile in the same breath that lends credit to it coming to T-Mobile USA. Nothing much different on this one except for it’s apparent lack of a physical keyboard. It’s supposedly coming out this month, or May, or July, or December…

Next up is the HTC Maple, otherwise known as the Dash 2. While hardware wise the Dash didn’t have much to boast about the form factor has been very successful. With less moving parts, meaning less parts to break the Dash has been a solid messaging device since it’s release. The Dash 2 on the other hand will have a serious bit more hardware. The specs on this show a 528 MHz processor and no touch screen. That’s serious business. Being a Windows Mobile device and on T-Mobile it will surely take advantage of UMA.

Finally we have the new flagship of the T-Mobile line. The Mercedes of Smartphones, the HTC Rhodium, aka Touch Pro2, aka MDA Vario V, aka Wing 2. This one is going to round up the rest of the T-Mobile kids and smack ‘em around like a Dell Tech Support Rep in a UFC free for all. Graphic imagery aside, the Rhodium saddles up to the plate with a tilt screen, full qwerty keyboard, all kinds of GPS, VGA screen, 3.15 MP camera (hopefully the front facing VGA camera will stay) and much more. It is a touch-screen and Windows Mobile Pro. Being on T-Mobile it will more than likely support UMA. This one gets me riled up like a 9 month old Yorkie with an intravenous espresso drip in a room full of cats and bacon.

Hmmm. The wing 2 is honestly making me contemplate on whether I should chunk my G1 for it. I mean even if the windows mobile OS won’t support flash on the wing 2 (although quite unlikely that it won’t) I can still take advantage of skyfire. Well I will wait for more specs on the wing before I make my decision. G1 android OS has been giving me a lot of peroblems.

holy shizzle…….i am most definitely getting the touch pro 2 aka rohdium, i been waiting for a phone like this to come to tmobile, thank god!!!……….and that g2 looks awful, i don’t see any of the g1 owners upgrading to that, lol but thats my short opinion……..can’t wait for the rhodium to come to tmo usa

dont get me wrong i love my shadow…perhaps i am only saying that so that my shadow desnt have an esteem issues but i have been whisering abut the rhodium to my friend who owns the old wing. I am thrilled about this new HTC joint and i have been holding out on geting the G1 or the other phones for this one. I needd it i want it I got to have it!

I’ve been holding out on getting a G1 cause I kept hearing that Tmo will be getting the touch pro. I almost gave in to the G1 but now that I read this, I’ll continue modding my shadow until the Rhodium comes. I LOVE YOU TOUCH PRO2

The Dash 2 has to be the goofiest ugliest HTC phone to come out in a while. G2 and Wing 2 look very nice though. Im pretty sure the front camera will be gone.

I have a G1 now and if thats the G2 I won’t be upgrading to it, but that Touch Pro 2/OtherNames is making me very excited.

And just to make a point the Dash2 looks like one of the leap frog things that little kids have to teach them to read. It’s the whole visual package, even if it’s the most amazing phone inside they couldn’t get me to carry that around if they payed me. It’s all plastic, I don’t even have a problem with that, I have a G1 which is all plastic, there just has to be an attempt to make it look nice.

Wish I knew if I should wait for the cupcake or for the wing 2… derrick I hope you are wrong. Also on htc’s website they show wm6.1 what happened to wm6.5? I currently am on my 2nd g1 and I do like it but miss all the free cool apps with wm6.1 and tell me if I am wrong but android os has a ton of bugs. Fcfcfc. I had to do hard resets 3 times and finally returned for another g1 hoping that it was the phone.

still just a bunch of useless applications and most don’t even work correctly. i have hated google since their inception and now i just hate them even more.

i will definitely get the wing 2 or whatever the next touch screen is with win mobile. so much better than android.

There is no official word on whether T-Mobile will pick up any of these phones yet. Be patient, I’m sure they will pick up the G2 and Wing2 eventually.

i know you must hear this alot but i miss you guys
the old panic!
a fever you cant sweat out changed my life
theres not a song on there that i couldnt play over and over again and not get sick of it

i dont want you guys to end up like linkin park or fall out boy or the tons of other bands who lost their original fans because they changed thier music style and never went back

The design of the HTC Maple looks fairly nice, but I’m kind of sad that they’re ditching the keyboard that we all know and loved so much =(

Oh and I’m buying the Touch Pro 2 no matter what lol

I……. hummm. This is depressing my g1, is stuck in portrait mode lol, opening the keyboard does noting… too many bugs, should have never gotten it, should of just gotten me the Iphone or something else.

Man i have a TouchPro2(rhodium) and it is an amazing phone but it gets boring so easily

i recommend it though, but yu will need to download some upgrade software for it to make it more fun
