Should We Make Additional Forums for Shadow 2009?
Should we have new forums for the new Shadow? Before answering, consider that most (if not all) tips/tricks/hacks for the 2008 Shadow will also work on the 2009, and so it may be redundant to have new forums. But then again, the Shadow 2009 brings some new stuff…like UMA and Windows Mobile 6.1, that the Shadow 2008 doesn’t have.
So what do you say? We’d especially like to hear from the AllShadow power-users/regulars in the comments – if you vote for more forums, which should we add? One just for UMA? One just for 6.1? Or should we duplicate all of the existing forums for the 2009?

You said it yourself… Just about everything that works on the the Old shadow works on the new one. Maybe just a sub-forum for the 09 just so the organization is a bit better.

i agree with the previous posts. have the forum include 6.1, features the shadow 2009 has, and have it laid it out so its a bit more organized.
im saying this because i just bought a 2009 shadow and i just discovered this site last week. all the information i’ve been tryin to read and cram in is overwhelming

i have feeling that in about a month or so the 2009 rom will be ported to older shadows. i would prefer to see a support forum for WM 6.1 on the shadow (whether it is the original or 2009 device). in this forum we could enforce thread title rules- such as having to include what rom you are using (e.g. erofich, 2009, htc, etc.) really the uniqueness of the 2009 device that is not part of older devices is minimal and can be addressed in this new WM 6.1 support forum along with helping out with other 6.1 roms. also, the reg hacks, apps, etc. are not really specific to the device but more to the WM rom (and as stated there is a huge amount of crossover.)
on my soapbox– we should start enforcing thread title rules somewhat for apps and themes too (as is kinda done at pocketnow and somewhat here.) and update the wiki if any things only work on wm6 or 6.1 (mainly reg edits seem to fit this right now.)

I agree with phrack808, there should be a sub-forum within the shadow forum. And if later it proves to be pointless because there are no huge differences(but there are indeed a few), you can just dump all those threads into the shadow 07 forums.

Hey just to let you guys know in the new movie called Duplicity starring Juile Roberts and Clive Owen they have the Copper Shadow as a prop. If you watch the trailer approx. 1:30 in the trailer you see Clive owen using the phone to trace the woman that he is with pin code. i just thought i’d tell you.

I dont think that there should be additional forums for the 2009 b/c like already said almost everything carries over. But I do like the idea of creating an additional support forum for 2009 specific features b/c I noticed there have been questions regarding this already. As for themes none of the theme makers have a 2009 so there wont be any double themes until the rom gets ported. But anyway Support for 2009 and delegate an area in the Wiki of what reg edits work on 2008 & 2009. Just my opinion

Its the same old shadow with uma and a slightly larger processor, same shadow new clothes. No need for a forum on this.

I don’t think there really needs to be a entire new section. Just like a little part where 2009 shadow people can talk about their little “UMA, and etc.” that the old shadow doesn’t have. And @iwantFlash4G1, not same shadow, and shadow doesn’t wear clothes. You mean new exterior design?

lol yeah its the same shadow! and i think every one knows what i ment by different clothes lol, either way no gps, no 3g, edge is super slow and frustraitimg to use. Face it the shadow 2 ias NOT worth buying if you have the first one period.

Whenever I open up safari or calendar in safari, after around 3 or 4 minutes and closes it and goes to the main page (with all the application icons). How can I stop my iphone from doing this? I want to actually use these applications without my iphone closing them. Thanks!
