I dont really care about the new shadow phone, I just want the official WM 6.1 for Shadow. Even though I have 6.1 on my phone I want an official. But looking at this white one, I should have maybe waited and not have gotten my shadow 2~3 weeks ago…

After the shadow I am never going to make the mistake of getting a phone run on Windows Mobile, the software is terrible and my phone virtually locks up/crashes ever week after being on, next phone I get is a blackberry!

Welcome to the site! Don’t let the shadow’s os ruin your impression of winmo. It’s a great os, and a great phone, just needs some tweaking. If your phone is having problems, don’t hesitate to ask for help… it’s usually a pretty easy fix.

is that Neo that I see on the homescreen? no thanks! I know its the official 6.1 rom but come on… its been over a year since the original shadow came out and the still have Neo as the default layout? geez

i just feel like cursing the above people out, but the terms of this are stopping me from doing so, i understand everyone has a reason to say why they are not getting it or don’t like it. BUT F*** WHAT YOU PEOPLE SAY, i think the shadow and this new shadow looks great i have the original shadow, i am getting his new phone, i can’t believe the people who vted its not worth it, that just made me ( a true shadow fan) look bad and feel bad, what happen to all the shadow fans who were once on here? i had the samsung behold and it was ok, but i realized i could’nt live without a smartphone, i love the g1’s screen but that about all that i like about it, but it is not for me………i think this shadow phone will sell to a lot of people besides the ones on here saying how much the first one was bad………thanks mike for the info and pics of this phone, i just hate the red color on the inside of the black one, it shouldve been all black, but oh well, still one of the greatest phones tmobile has to offer

Love the look of the new Shadow compared to the previous one; if only they’d updated things ‘under-the-hood’ as well. Still, many might enjoy the antiquated device, I liked the previous version for a few months before selling it…

I like the new design changes, like notches in the scroll wheel, usb port on the bottom instead of the side, and looking at the sliding design, it looks like the front part of the phone won’t eventually be lower than the back part (some of you might know what I’m talking about). But I want something with a better processor and 3G. I could probably deal with 260 mhz, but T Mobile and HTC failed by not throwing the 1700 mhz band into this thing. Why should I have to pay $600 for an unbranded AWS Windows Phone? Go to tmonews.com and look for an article on the Pharos if yall don’t know what I’m talking about. This phone doesn’t have enough improvements over mine to warrant me getting another one, as I already have 6.1 and don’t make calls over wifi. I’m highly considering a G1, but I really don’t want to leave Windows. I guess if I do then I’ll keep this as a backup until either T-mobile decides to release a REAL replacement for the Dash or finally replaces the 4 year old Wing.

hey derrick, its called people having opinions. Some think its good and some think its not. I think Shadow is a good phone, but you don’t have to get so mad. You didn’t make the shadow.

I’m going to go out and get this; looks amazing. I’m not sure about this because I didn’t own the first, but can’t you change the Neo homescreen to a regular winmo homescreen? or am I wrong

Yea I personaly don’t like it very much. It really just looks like the old shadow with some rounder curves. I love the shadow but this one doesn’t really seem like it has changed much and I really wouldn’t spend my money on it. That’s just my opinion. I think I’m gonna stick with my g1

I’ve already said this a few times but here it goes, not one upgrade on this “new” shadow that would make anyone with the first shadow worth it. Slightly larger processor. The newer design is sub par it looks to similar to the Blast if you ask me. Derrick your an idiot what are you like 13? There is absolutlley no reason for any of us original shadow owners to stay loyall to the brand if t-mobile doesn’t fill the thing with any of th features we all want , 3g,gps,more powerful processor, nicer screen maybe touch. this “new” shadow should have been the first gen not the second. The G1 is freakin awsome never ever crashes! I have never had to pull my battery out to re start my phone because of a crash. The screen is amazing, new apps every day for free in the market, oh and the best part Google is actually supporting this phone! When is the last time you hit windows update and actually received one lol and come on we all know wm is filled with bugs. Not to mention it takes a year to boot up. Compared to the G1 my shadow is a brick period

my shadow never crashed on me, so don’t try and say that the shadow is a bad phone, i bet many people around the nation will get this phone, like me because it is sleeker and just the right smartphone for people who aren’t to strict on things in a smartphone

Lmao @ this derrick kid, take a breather dude its just a cell phone lol. Anyways, definitly won’t be getting the new shadow, the G1 and Android have trumped anyways I did the year I used my shadow. Its like this new one is just a polished shadow 1 with uma support. Definitly not worth it.

anyways, I love the white its so sick, if we bought our shadows not that long ago, they should let us trade it in for like $30 dollars more or something, then I would definately trade it. But if its gonna be $149.99 like the rumors… then F. U. White shadow maker, making me want it.

I love my current Shadow, and to be honest the new Shadow offers me… nothing.
If it had a better processor, better memory, 3G or GPS … sure, I’d consider it.
But curved corners, different colors and exactly the same OS…. not going to get into another 2 year T-Mo contract for that.
If it was a WM6.5 device then…. with the above hardware fixes sure I’d jump but – like the new black Dash – this just looks like T-Mo and HTC trying to sell tired old product in a shiny new case.

I really don’t care for new shadow, its like an egg with buttons. I have the regular shadow but I updated my software to 6.1 and its great. just download 6.1 to your regular shadow instead of paying money that you don’t need to spend.
