For those of you that have made the switch from Shadow to G1, are you missing the Shadow?  The G1 is a great device, but there is no denying that its capabilities are limited in some areas if you compare it to the Shadow. What prompted this question was an interesting thread that tonyoung08 started in our G1 General forum, to which there have been several replies with lists of things that the Shadow can do and the G1 cannot. Here are some excerpts from ShadowFan2008’s list…

- True Voice Dialing
- Incoming Texts being read out loud
- Bluetooth file transfers
- SlingMobile (watching Live TV / Tivo)
- Flash Enabled Web Browsing (Skyfire)
- Video MMS sending
- Video creation
- Skype Mobile
- Many simple Camera settings (resolution, brightness, contrast, zoom, color temp settings)
- Saving apps to your SD card for easy installation after MASTER RESETS
- Simple screen captures

That said, there are of course things that the G1 can do that the Shadow cannot.  Here are some…

- Download apps easily from the on-phone app store
- Use GPS for location-based services
- Use autofocus on the camera to take better pictures
- Use 3G for fast internet anywhere (where supported)
- Quickly download music via AmazonMP3
- Set up multiple customizable Home Screens
- WebKit-based browser out of the box

So – Shadow owners gone G1, do you miss the Shadow?  And if yes, how are you dealing with any shortfalls that you are finding, such as those listed above?
