Got Twitter? Got G1?

For the Twitter fans out there with G1’s you are in luck. Twidroid (formally known as Twitroid) is an actively and well developed app. You can tweet or post photos to twitter from your phone as well as check up on friends and the people you are following. When minimized it will also run in the background and give you the option of vibrating or audible alerts. The interface is smooth and well thought out. If you twitter then you must check out Twidroid. It’s free and available in the Market or in our newly redesigned store.

Taking Screen Shots on the G1: Not So Easy

Taking screen shots has long been on of the most useful ways to show off an app, wallpaper or problem. At this time Android doesn’t make this any easier. The process to get it setup is not as easy as for taking screen shots on Windows Mobile. Christina Warren over at the Download Squad has rounded up some directions for the process. Warning: This isn’t for those that want a quick fix. It looks like we will have to wait a little longer for a simple Screen Shot Capture app for the G1.
The Long Press on the G1: Useful Shortcuts

A Cleaner System Font for Your Shadow

Over in the forums, ShadowMike made a thread for doing some registry work to get the system font looking like the above. It’s a cleaner font that has a nice, light feel. If you want it, go on and grab the CAB file, send to your phone and run it, and then reboot. If you don’t like what you see, you’ll be able to reverse the change by uninstalling.
