Saving Money with Windows Mobile

Having Windows Mobile on your Shadow has its advantages. Adam Lein over at pocketnow.com has put together a great article that talks about how you can save money using your Windows Mobile device – and in these tough economic times, he provides many smart ways that you can reduce the minutes you use, or get by without paying for a data connection (or how to get a data connection for free, temporarily). Good stuff, and worth a read.

It’s so true. My friend has Verizon and supposedly they won’t allow their phones to use WM. So they can’t use as much freeware as us and we get the Windows programs for free. That’s my opinion on how Windows Mobile is cheaper than any other “OS” on a phone.

Skyline I saw your message and thought that was weird that Verizon wouldn’t have any phones with a Windows Mobile OS. I check and they actually do. Either way, I’m with you, I think with all the freeware WM phones certainly make things cheaper. I’m interested in trying out and seeing if that free GPS works or not.

Yeah maybe they do (i got the information from an unreliable source). I still think T-mobile is cheaper than Verizon. Everytime I talk to people about phones at school, they are amazed at the features my shadow has (google earth, free java, different themes, etc.). Then I ask them what phone they have and sure enough they’re all Verizon phones.
