Vista SideShow on the Shadow, Another Way to Control Your PC

While Vista SideShow is mostly ignored and underdeveloped it can still be useful and slightly entertaining. We’ve mentioned controlling your PC before with Salling Clicker and Ikanos’ Go Gadgets (it can even be done with Remote Desktop). We even gave a little notice about the developer preview. When you download and install it be sure to read the instructions that are extracted. They go into much more detail than is needed for this article. As with most desktop applications your experience may vary seeing as how there are many versions of Vista on many different machines running different Bluetooth stacks…

You will need to have your Shadow smartphone and Vista PC partnered over Bluetooth to take full advantage of the application. In Bluetooth devices select your Shadow and look at the Properties and Services and be sure that Windows SideShow is checked as a service. More than likely your machine will need to search for and install drivers.

can we use this app. for windows XP and without using bluetooth?

i mean like… connect with your pc using wifi or another but, not bluetooth.

No this is only for vista and only over bluetooth but there are other programs that are similar that might work with xp but i think they cost money.
