thanks Mike. I signed up on april 2nd for Beta 2 so I’m probably not going to invited until July… oh well, I didn’t know about Skyfire until I found allshadow.com. I emailed Skyfire today letting them know your site has been a great resource for information on Skyfire and that you specifically should be congratulated. Thanks Mike.

well guys I signed up in jan. I got an email at the end of march saying that everyone whom signed up for beta 1 will be move to beta and will receive the down text at the end of april. here it is the end of april and still nothing. so maybe it will come soon but in all honestly I don’t think it every come out.

I’m right with you innocentchild. Signed up on Jan. 28th, got a confirm email that day, and haven’t heard a peep from them since. If they are in fact doing First Come, First Served as they claim, they’ve got a long way to go before all the Beta 1 users get invited.

Exactly with you cheekagoh. Signed up on the same day and more than 3 months later, nothing… anyways, I’ve decided to move on in life and whenever it arrives (if it ever does), it arrives.

until t-mobile’s network gets upgraded to 3G i don’t even worry about advance web browers like skyfire. a lot of the new programs have features that are exclusive to touch screens, so until the shadow 2 comes out (along with the 3G network) i’m happy with my opera mini, vtap, and tcmp!

  • David Riley said:

I agree crayonz, i heard the shadow 2 should arrive in fall of 2008 with 3g capabilities. But if you don’t live in the largest cities, no 3g until next year most likely. my colleagues all have att and i grabbed one of the phones. It was getting between 600kbs to 1000kbs on the performance.toast.net!!! I heard tmobile 3g is only getting around 300kbs but that’s probably because they are going live. anyway, vtap, opera mini, and tcmp for now!

vtap, opera mini, and tcmp for now!

Skyfire, i totally forgot about that!

  • Who? said:

You forgot the changes they’ve made for the worse. No Rhapsody or Yahoo Music streaming anymore. But they still advertise those features on their website. Pathetic.

The first beta wouldn’t allow me to connect through wifi. This beta version allows me to use it and it works really well, it still needs to be tweaked but I definitely think the skyfire team is on the right path.

Yeah I just got my sms today. Haven’t messed with it much but so far it’s nice! Only gripe so far is that I STILL can’t upload pics to myspace from my phone, but I’ve got other mobile social sites to play with right now so it’s all good.

So far I’m impressed, I’m sure its amazing for the 3gr’s out there

  • debbie said:

dihce i was wondering when did you sign up for sky fire

  • Mike Benton said:

    Thanks HeavyB

  • Travis said:

mane fuck skyfire, shit aint neva coming, i hate how i got all hype back an jan for nothing mane!!!

skyfire is not all that great i feel bad for those who haven’t got to play with it because i removed the program from my phone. its not for those of is on edge networks and way too battery intensive on those flash sites or you tube especially using the shadow. opera is perfect for the shadow if you ask me. give tmo time to catch up and skyfire will be worthwhile for us
