Rubberized Case Mini Review
A little while ago we posted about a great deal on a rubberized case for the T-Mobile Shadow. I ordered one as I am constantly putting my Shadow through hell and I wanted something to extend its life. I decided to post some close up pictures for everything to get a better idea of what it does.
The case does feel rubberized but isn’t entirely. It’s a rubberized coating on the outside. That isn’t bad itself. Some people had posted that it’s a little difficult to get the case off. With some careful attention to the little ‘claws’ that hold it to the Shadow you can get it off just fine.
For the price of $5.39 I think it’s a great deal. One thing I REALLY like about this case is it recesses the buttons on the front of the Shadow. How many times have you accidentally called people because of these buttons? Or accidentally answered a phone call in your pocket? Now I don’t worry about that anymore.
On the back there is a square hole, you can also get the case with a belt clip. I didn’t op for that as I don’t like the Bat-Belt look. Just preference. Apparently the deal is still going on if you want to get your own Rubberized Case.

Who Else Wants A Better Note Program?

There’s a problem with most Note programs, they just aren’t accessible enough and they usually cost money. On touch screen Windows Mobile phones the notes are synced with Outlook and the interface is messy at best. Then again there are thousands of desktop-only note applications. Even further, there are plenty web based note systems in More >

What Was Wanted:
I wanted an easy to use Podcast application for the T-Mobile Shadow smartphone that was simple, worked all the time and had some great features. It had to have an auto-update feature, a way to simply add podcasts, be RSS compatible, and work over the many different connections on the Shadow. The interface More >

@Mike Does this case lift the phone from the base as some people complained on the crystal case? Or at least something worth being worried about?

Thanks for the review! It looks exactly like my clear case I got off of eBay a while back. I’m totally happy with mine. I agree on the “difficult to remove” observation, but like you said, just pay attention to where it latches on, and you can get it off pretty easily.

It does life a little but not enough to worry about. Make sure it is seated all the way and you’ll barely notice it. I’ve had my Shadow for a while now and put it through physical hell. It wobbles a little because of this so I’m not worried about it lifting the two pieces.

How do you remove that belt clip?
It’s VERY IRRITATING

I ordered one and love it! BUT…I did have a rough time getting the case off. I also went back to the Amazon site where I ordered it from, and the price came down to $4.99 + $2.98 shipping. Still love it, though!!!

I just recieved mine and its awesome. Gives the Shadow an HTC Cruise look/feel. I also agree thats its a bit tough to get off and that it does lift the two pieces a bit. If it gets too wobbly, I’ll always have the Shadow II to look forward to.
@FL4Wl3SS…just unscrew the the clip nob on the back.

what color is this case? black or blue?..when u guys talk about it is hard to take the case off what do u mean?…hard to take the phone out to use it? or like when you dont want the case on anymore? someone please answer.

My case is black. They are referring to when you don’t want to use the case anymore, or when you have to get to the battery or sim.
I have had mine for about a month, I bought it off ebay, and I love it. I added a screen protector and I carry it in my pocket without worry. The rubber has a good feel to it.

Keep in mind that if you wear lotion (ie. SPF) on your face or hands and your black rubber case touches the lotioned skin, you may start to notice the rubber finish start to wrinkle and eventually rub off.
Not a big deal except the case is WHITE(of all colors) underneath the black rubber finish. I use black permnament marker to color in my case for touch ups. Unfortunatlely the black touch-up doesn’t last long.

I got this in the mail yesterday. It is awesome. it fits perfectly and does not lift off. You don’t see it in the pictures here, but it comes with a belt clip and attachment on the back of the cover.

just got my case in the mail today.. made sure to order two of them haha.. as for the clip, it’s not very difficult to take off at all.. i just used an xacto blade to peel off the foam covering the screw, then used a small tip phillips screw driver to unscrew the clip.. easy! this combined with the screen protector, and my shadow is secured from scratches in style

Just got a new Shadow that came with an extended battery & cover.
