Suspected Shadow II Image

Posted by Mike Benton on April 15th, 2008

This could be the first image of the Shadow II. Not much in the way of specs yet on this one. Rumor has it that this will include UMA and HotSpot@Home capability. Rest assured we are working hard to get you the most details on the next Shadow. SO stay tuned.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just bought the Shadow 1 a month ago!!!! This is such BS!!!

  • Mike Benton said:

Antonio, nothing to fret there is no release date yet. And rest assured the Shadow you have in your hands is still a super phone in disguise. Just check out the forums

Darn, I really am looking forward to this, but wouldn’t mind having a Sidekick either. Well, I guess I’ll see where the prices are at later. My plan has expired, but I just got the Shadow and my parents probably would be mad if I said I wanted a Sidekick now. I wouldn’t mind having the Sidekick slide, with its keyboard, and if the price lowers I would get LX, but if Sidekick II is touchscreen and isn’t too ridiculous on price, I might get that instead.

I forgot to mention, I do like the Neo and how we all customize it, but couldn’t there be something a little different? I don’t know if it’s just me but after having the Shadow, a Neo on a new device just looks old. But hey, maybe we could customize on there too.

i dont think thats the shadow 2.
the shadow 2 is suppose to have windows mobile 6.1 on it and we all say the demo of 6.1.
even microsoft said the shadow Neo UI was a base for the WM6.1 UI. Meaning the shadow 2 WILL NOT have the same menu if its running WM6.1

i say its 100% BS and that its not even real.
it looks like someone just made a shiny block and pasted on the NEO UI and called it the shadow 2

Man dont waste your money going with a sidekick. I came from a sidekick 3 and it isnt even close to how good the shadow is. The sidekick is so limited, it absolutley isnt worth the money.

  • JM said:

hah! this is supposed to be the “iphone killer?” looks like a crappy shadow knock off.

  • Robot Overlord said:

    @JM
who said anything about an iphone killer? and it is a suspected shadow II, so of course it would look like it. Can you not read or are you just stupid?

  • BlakGzus said:

frankly, i liked the first (thought to be) Shadow II
put that pic up cause that phone looks like my shadow with round edges.

Its supposed to be releasing this summer before the fall. I’m sorry for those who just bought the 1st addition shadow; but, if I knew you I coulda told you another one was going to be releasing soon.

  • deyanimay said:

Nooooooo i hope that you won’t have to make an allshadow2.com also with microsoft now owning danger the next sidekick might be windows mobile so that might be a good next phone.

  • Ebsan said:

I don’t like the new form factor nor buttons. They seem a little slippery and the phone is more organically round, unlike the Shadow I. But ay, still looking forward to this one coming out cuz i liked the Shadow I so much.

Im still wondering why they didn’t expand the screen size with all the leftover black space around the screen.

  • Shadow Mike said:

if its not tmo 3g its useless plastic crap ….

also ill take this http://www.ubergizmo.com/15/archives/2008/01/htc_pharos_3470_smartphone.html over this SHADOW 2 at least the HTC Pharos has a touchscreen.

  • Matt Finch said:

I really don’t see whats so great about touch screen.
It’s cool for like 2 hours; I don’t know why, but I am just not a big fan.

  • Mike Benton said:

Exactly why the site is called AllShadow… We can continue covering all Shadows!

  • mitch said:

i just hope it isnt crap i want a real keybord and a bigger screen. if its the same thing iam just getting the sony x1 xperia or the meizu m8. dont buy the sidekick3 its total crap i had 3 of them in 1 month cheap plastic crap and its just one big downgrade

I hope this isn’t the Shadow2, I think this is a step backwards in design. The Shadow is a very nice looking and it has a different look. This picture shows a phone that looks like everything else. I would only consider getting it if it has built in GPS and like a 3 or higher mega pixel camera.
I really hope this isn’t it. That is just my opinion though.

I kinda like the looks of it,but I really hate the Neo interface.I think it’s really inconvenient to use.The original Shadow came out in October I think,so if this is released sometime around June it’ll be about time for an update.I just hope it has the new Pocket IE not just the updated one that’s available on 6.1 right now.

  • Robot Overlord said:

    @ Shadow Mike,

this looks very similar to the pharos, which means it has a touchscreen, but no 3g

  • Tazdevil said:

    @ Robot Overlord

The original post (March 08) here, stated that the shadow II would make the iphone look like a toy (iphone killer) so maybe its you that is stupid or can’t read. Before you go slamming someone else maybe you should get your facts st8.

  • Tazdevil said:

Also, just a quick note. If the above is infact a prototype of the Shadow II, its not a touch screen. Non-touch screen devices have the windows logo in the bottom left corner (as is above)… Touchscreen devices have the logo in the upper left corner.

  • nick m said:

hey guys i was wondering if anyone knew if the shadow is 3g capable or will we have to get another phone when t-mobile gets the new network.

  • Mike Benton said:

I like the image we posted awhile back. It has a much better look to it. http://www.allshadow.com/2008/03/04/shadow-2/
