i rack up around 60 text a day not including any alerts i have set up. i always try to text because it allows me to get my point across with out having a long conversation. and thanks to allshadow.com i now don’t have have to get that damn message tellin me it sent.

Thats where your wrong. The 160 character limit is only for one message. Thus if you go over the 160 limit, it will send it as two messages. I’ve somehow racked it up to 3 messages, and I’m sure it can go way beyond.

Right - it’s a 160 “per message” limit. Most people I know try to keep the length at 160 or less because it can get annoying having to flip back to the inbox to retrieve the second or third part of the message (which sometimes gets delayed, depending on the type of phone the other person has).

Just did a test and got it up to five messages. There’s probably no limit. It’ll just keep sending more messages.

the most for me was like 5,500 back in dec..

i do about 100+ txt a day this i why i gotta have a suretype or qwerty keyboard lol

im currently at 2400 messages for this month with a few days left to make it 2500.
id rather text someone than call, and i ask them to do the same for me. in fact, i ask them to do so in my voicemail greeting!

i rarely go over 160 characters.

while on the subject of texting, does anyone know how to remove words from the PREDICTIVE TEXT PROMPT? I’ve gotten some mispelled words on mine that i often accidentally select when texting quickly.

i can bust out a good 300 messages a day talkin bout nothin at all. the prediction is crazy on this phone

My brother has a smart phone (a BlackBerry Pearl) and receives one large text regardless of the number of characters I use; so it is dependent upon the recipient how they will receive the text above 160 characters.

i am at 7000 messages. haha! the most that i have done was i think 8000? but i still have a week left til my billing period is up.
