The AllShadow.com team gets a lot of emails about syncing with a Mac. There is a 3rd Party application that supposedly works flawlessly for Windows Mobile <-> Mac syncing. I don’t own a Mac so I can’t personally verify this. So I ask you, the community, if you own a Mac and use Missing Sync, what are your experiences so far?

If you own a Mac and do not already have it, go get Missing Sync and let us know.

I love syncing my mac with my shadow with missing sync.
I sync my Ical, Itunes, Iphotos, Address book w/ contacts pics, my safari bookmarks, I can put files on the sd card via the usb. So far its been flawless.
It does take a few hours to sync 4gb of music via itunes though.

I really love Missing Sync, too. I tried to use Pocket Mac before, and never got it to work at all. Their tech people would not help me, either, so it was a terrible experience. I would NEVER suggest Pocket Mac. I downloaded Missing Sync, though, and it worked perfectly immediately and has worked every time.

MissingSync is well for me. My USB syncing stoped working a little while ago, but bluetooth works for me. I’ve had bad luck withe USB syncing with now 2 smart phones.

For some strange reason, I could not get my phone to sync with the software. Any suggestions?

I have missingsync and it is ok. I don’t find it spectacular, but it definitely does the job. That said, I have never been able to sync via bluetooth; I tried using this method first, and I thought the whole bloody thing didn’t work. I had to make 2 attempts with USB, but it finally did what it was supposed to and syncs fine now. I see another poster said their bluetooth syncing works, but I have seen others complain of the same problem. It is a bit pricey I feel. Overall, I think it’s worth it.

I have Leopard and the HTC Shadow, and use Syncmate. It took some tweaking, but I figured it out. I had to download and run the sda app unlocker application to unlock the phone before I got Syncmate to work, but it works great.

i use Missing Sync, with my Mac running OS X 10.4.9, and it works for everything the Mark/Space website claims it will do, except I can’t get it to sync music. it took a few tries to get it working with bluetooth, but i figured it out with their help files. USB connecting worked on the first try. also, it let’s you “mount” your Shadow as if it were a hard-drive, so you can search it for files, do pretty easy backup of your Shadow, and move/copy/delete files from it (and storage card) like you’re accustomed to doing with any other files.
