Bwana the Iguana provides a helpful fix in the forums for the native Task Manager on the Shadow hanging, as well as the Shadow itself hanging. If you experience this problem or just like modding your Shadow be sure to give the post a good read.

Works okay, but many times when viewing running processes, it gets an error and complains that there may not be enough resources.acbTaskMan instead doesn’t have this problem.
