Here’s a Quick Way to Reorder the Neo Panes

Posted by Mike Benton on December 15th, 2007

Arno tipped me off that Paul over at MoDaCo has published a utility that enables you to enable/disable and reorder the panes on the Neo homescreen. Very cool. One of the first changes I made was to move notifications to the top followed by MyFaves and the Internet.

Simply download the .exe to your device and run from file explorer (he will write an install cab later) From the next screen you will be able to enable/disable/reorder as you wish. Once done, exit and then change your homescreen to any but the Neo and then back again. To do that go to Start > Settings > Homescreen and change it from T-Mobile Default to something else. Click done and press the home key. Go back and select the T-Mobile Default and select Done. The changes should show up now.

This gets me to wondering, if I could add any NEW pane to Neo what would it be? What is your choice?

You can also add panes. It requires registry editing though. You could learn how to do it at:

This is definitely good stuff. I love how the neo interface allows so much customisation

As for what I would like to add NEO…. I wanna find a way to incorporate the favorites from PocketX’s PhotoContacts. I am working on it now.

And as for the EXE, you have to create an account and login before you will be able to see or download the EXE file.

I would add a pane for Task Manager so I can go to it easily and shut down apps to free resources and prevent freezing/slowing. Who on earth invented WM6 and apps with no EXIT option in the file menu? - or where using the back button doesnt close the program? STOOO-PID
Can someone write a mod cab file that the BACK button closes the currently viewed program? PLEASE!

marco, i browsed through the cellphonesignal.com forum and did not find a good walkthrough on how to add panes and links to applications (i.e. the registry changes, etc.). Can you post a walkthrough somewhere on how to add panes to the neo screen?
    thanks!
