Another Browser? Don’t Bother

Posted by Mike Benton on December 6th, 2007

Chuong Nguyen over at pocketnow.com has a summary on the NetFront Browser 3.4 technical preview. From the specs and screenshots I have seen it looks to be a promising alternative to the native Pocket Internet Explorer. I headed over to NetFront’s site and downloaded the preview. My intention was to give you a good look at what it is all about. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work correctly on the Shadow. The rendering is wrong and it doesn’t even show the webpage. Which is unfortunate. Let’s hope these snags get worked out and we can have another browser to choose from. We all like choices, right?

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the link. I think the technical preview works on Pocket PC versions only. Unfortunately, the Shadow runs on the Windows Mobile Standard edition, and not the Professional/Classic version.
